Reporting from a Disaster Zone

Here Donavin and Zach talk about what they expected their week with Tribal Youth Media to be like and the extraordinary experience it turned out to be. These two interview clips were broadcast live on Wisconsin Public Television's Here and Now program on July 15, 2016.

With the Bad River Lodge cut off from most other parts of the reservation, only two Tribal Youth Media participants were able to get to us, but boy did they get an experience. 14-year-old Donavin and 16-year old Zach got a crash course in reporting and videography and began doing flood stories.

We were able to upload their interviews and cover video and share it with news stations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Here's they're interviewing a couple from Ottawa, Canada who were stranded at the Bad River Lodge.
